Integrated Logistics Support Manager

Job Description

Duties (Five Critical Job Elements):
1. Life Cycle Cost Management (LCCM) and Design to Cost (DTC a. Evaluates LCCM and DTC plans, trade studies and unsolicited proposals and assesses impacts of proposed modifications on Life Cycle Costs. b. Performs studies (cost benefit analysis, business case analysis, trade studies, logistics supportability studies, cost of operationsl effectiveness analysis, level of repair analysis, organic versus contractor cost assessment, annual estimates). c. Evaluates and validates analysis methodologies or models. 2. Integration of Maintenance/Maintenance Planning: a. Perform reliability centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, aircraft battle damage repair, and other maintenance trade studies. b. Recommends required maintenance capability for all levels of repair to include calibration concepts, requirements and plans. c. Tracks and monitors weapon systems modifications. d. Performs source of repair assignment processes and assists in interservice screening. e. Identifies requirements for interim contractor support, contractor logistics support, and post production support. f. Develops maiantenance activation planning and processes. 3. Integration of Supply Support: a. Identifies spares required for pre/post-opertional support phases of acquisition, including test and evaluation. b. Assists in developing a provisioning strategy and computing initial, deployment and replenishment requirements for weapon systems. c. Tracks and monitors repair of spares. d. Assists in determining sources of supply by assessing alternative supply strategies such as diminishing manufacturing sources. e. Reviews provisioning technical documentation for long lead time items and Spares Acquisition Integrated with Production (SAIP) f. Develops Readiness Spares Packages data; identifies, quantifies and assesses the Integrated Logistics Support/Product Support and sustainment elements. 4. Integration of Support Equipment: a. Identifies, recommends and tracks delivery of Support Equipment b. Arranges and supports Support Equipment Guidance conferences. c. Identifies requirements for Support Equipment, i.e. software, data rights, computer resources, technical data, and support equipment to include test and evaluation. 5. Design Integration: a. Assists and supports the logistician in the system/sustaining engineering processes. b. Identifies and assists in establishing logistics-related design parameters. c. Reviews configuration item specifications. d. Identifies, quantifies, and assesses the Integrated Logistics Support/Product Support and sustainment elements.
Requirements:
1. Current DoD Security Clearance. 2. Fifteen years logistics experience, five (5) of which must have been involved in DoD weapon system logistics, preferably aeronautical weapon system logistics. 3. One (1) year of Defense acquisition experience obtained within the last five (5) years prior to selection for employment under this contract.
